Section 1The photos that inspired me to visit Trollhättan

I was searching the Internet for pictures from Fucking Åmål when I came across some interesting photos taken by OEB, another FA fan (from Norway). They show the places where FA was shot: the bridge, the road, the school and the buffet. Of course, I immediately got the idea to visit Trollhättan, but I dropped it, because it seemed too unrealistic. As time went by, I also found some interesting aerial photos of Trollhättan showing the places where FA was shot. (See below.)

Section 2My photos of the FA places

Once I knew my way around Trollhättan (thanks to the aerial photos above) as well as I know my home town, I decided to go there. I talked a few friends (not FA fans) into coming along, and we travelled 28 hours by bus and train to my favourite town of the time. :)

Section 3Map of the FA places

All the places from my photos on one map. Click a marker to see what is there and to jump to its photos. Sadly, the famous footbridge no longer exists: it was demolished in November 2010 and replaced by a new one.

Locations checked against Swedish Wikipedia, the OpenStreetMap address database and the filming-locations map of another FA fan, who visited Trollhättan in 2017. The square marker is approximate. Agnes's house is a private home, so please respect the people who live there.
